NDC candidate woos Mfanstiman West voters

Accra, Aug. 29, GNA - Mr Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Mfantsiman West, has appealed to the electorate to vote him into Parliament on December 7 to help develop the area.

Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency on Friday, he said his vision was to improve education in the district and open avenues to attract investors to arrest unemployment.

"I understand them better than any other person because I live with them and know their problems," Mr Quansah said.

He described himself as a 41-year-old advertising consultant from Saltpond who is humble and ready to render a selfless service to the people.

According to him jobs, education and health facilities are the topmost needs of the people in the constituency, adding that, he plans to solicit funds to create avenues for empowering the youth to take up small entrepreneurial jobs.

Mr. Quansah reiterated his support to help reduce the burden of Saltpond Hospital by bringing in doctors to join the only medical assistant to improve the quality of health care. He also touched on the need to improve on the school feeding programme from only one town to all towns in the constituency as well as incentives for teachers.

Mr Quansah also promised to bring Parliament to the people through town hall meetings once every month to brief them on issues that go on in parliament.
