Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central Constituency, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has disregarded claims that he has incessantly "attacked" fellow New Patriotic Party (NPP) members.

According to the Assin Central legislator, his consistent onslaught on members of the ruling party have been done to draw his colleague's attention to the very things that have caused wrangling within the party.

“I am rather uniting the party, I’m drawing their attention…..even doctors say taking bitter pills to cure the medicine is better than taking sugar-coated pills that will worsen the situation," he said candidly.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong expressed little concern over public blow-back regarding what some have perceived as his personal campaign to sully the ruling party's image. The firebrand legislator maintained that he would keep being critical of aspects of his party that he felt would further the opposition National Democratic Congress's (NDC) agenda.

Hon. Kennedy Agyapong said that, if fellow NPP members were listening to him. that it is not too late to rectify the situation, that NPP members had been making the mistake of still observing on the sides as NDC Members controlled the system. "I will say it, I will talk about it, so if you think I’m destroying the party by doing that and so you’ll want me to sit and watch as you encourage the NDC, I will continue to talk,” he said.
