Friends of the Ashanti regional NDC Secretary have commended President John Dramani Mahama for appointing Joseph Yamin as Deputy Youth and Sports Minister.
Outspoken Joseph Yamin is among the 26 Deputy Ministerial nominees awaiting Parliamentary vetting and subsequent approval by the President.
Ahead of Joseph Yamin’s appointment, his fans threatened to hit the streets and some of them even wrote open letters to President Mahama.
Describing President Mahama as a listening father, Nilina Linus, leader of the group said they were satisfied.
He said Joseph Yamin will prove his critics wrong by working in line with the substantive Minister to uplift the nation’s sports industry.
Joseph Yamin until his elevation has been the Ashanti Regional NDC Scribe whose contribution to the party’s successes in the region during the 2012 general elections cannot be underestimated.
