Akufo Addo names cabinet ahead of Supreme Court ruling

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the twice defeated Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party has not only succeeded in using the party leadership to champion his parochial interest but has also managed to buy the conscience of some minority MPs by promising them juicy ministerial and deputy ministerial positions in the event the Supreme Court declares him President, The Al-Hajj can report.

The Al-Hajj has in its possession a very credible report regarding faces likely to feature in the former Abuakwa South MP’s government.

Without waiting for the ruling of the superior court of the land on his petition, the former Foreign Affairs Minister in the Kufuor government has already made some ministerial and deputy ministerial appointments with the aim of exhorting those appointed to work tirelessly in ensuring that the court “at all cost” declare him as President.

Featuring prominently in the list are the likes of NPP agent in the Convention Peoples Party, James Kwabena Bomfeh aka Kabila who has been slated Tourism Minister and loud-mouth Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyepong, expected to be in charge of governments’ communication.

For standing out as one of the many garrulous and foul mouth defenders of Nana Akufo-Addo, the chatty MP for Assin Central has been rewarded with the position of Minister of Information whiles young Nsawam Adoagyiri MP, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, also an ally of Nana Addo will deputize him.

Per the information intercepted, Nana Addo’s list of cabinet ministers and deputies will not take any different from the leadership that he and the current party leadership have put in place in parliament.

Apart from Hon. Isaac Osei and Dr Richard Anane occupying the position of ranking members of Foreign Affairs and Health committees respectively, the NPP leadership in parliament heading the the various standing committees, special or Ad hoc committee and select committees is composed of devotees of the defeated presidential candidate.

Information gathered points to the fact that, most of the Minority MPs currently sitting as chairmen, vice chairmen, ranking and deputy ranking members of the various committees in parliament and who were personally selected by the defeated flag bearer have been elevated to Ministers and Deputy Ministerial positions awaiting a declaration by the court in his favour as president.

The Attorney General and Ministry of Justice, a position Akufo-Addo occupied in the first term of former President Kufuor’s administration is to be headed by the current Abuakwa South MP and Vice Chair of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament, Hon. Samuel Atta Kyea who is to be supported by Hon. Osei Bonsu Amoah and Kofi Osei-Ameyaw as his deputies.

Surprisingly, ‘inexperience’ minority MPs like, Serah Adwoa Sarfo, MP for Dome Kwabenya and Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, MP for Tema East Constituency have been appointed as deputy ministers of Foreign Affairs and Tourism respectively.

Loyalist of Nana Akufo-Addo like Prof George Yaw Gyan-Baffuor, Dan Botwe, Mrs. Irene Naa Torshie Addo, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, Dr Anthony Akoto Osei, Isaac Asiamah, Joe Baidoo Ansah, Gifty Eugenia Kusi, Dr Akoto Owusu Afriyie and Gifty Klenam have all been offered ministerial and deputy ministerial positions for the various ministries.
