Betting buffs from around the capital have won bets of various amounts placed on the UEFA EURO 2016 opening day last Friday 10 June, 2016.

Betway Ghana, who hosted more than 200 sports enthusiasts and avid bettors at a public viewing of the game, has confirmed that more than 50 people who placed bets that evening walked away with winnings. The winnings which ranged from GHS 100 to GHS1,000 were paid instantly and directly into their mobile money accounts.

The recently launched betting company Betway Ghana has simplified the experience of sports-betting fans by introducing a mobile/web based system. This innovative interface promises to revolutionize sports betting in the country.

First time bettor and winner Nana Benyin, was very impressed with the speed and convenience the Betway betting application provides. He said excitedly, “I really like the fact that it is quick and hassle-free and the fact that my money goes straight into my mobile money wallet”.

A second winner, Omar was of the view that the convenience Betway provided would easily be the preferred choice of betting among the busy career demographic. He said, “I really like the simplicity Betway offers, especially since one does not have to go queue at a shop and carry around hard copy bet slips that can easily get lost or destroyed”.

As well as bettors cashing in on their winnings, guests won prize packages from participating in side activities such as foosball and shootout challenges. More than 10 people walked away with Betway give-aways from the games. It was a thrilling evening of drinks, barbeque and good natured fun.

“We want to be able to engage our customers and partners on a good-natured level by celebrating with them. They are the core of our existence and so we give them top priority. We also seek to make them feel a part of the Betway brand. That is why we extend an arm of camaraderie to invite football lovers to come hang out with us and in the process make some money on the beautiful game we love so much”, said Kwabena Nkrumah, Marketing Executive of Betway Ghana.

Betway plans on hosting more customers to similar events at its concept store at No 32 Castle Road opposite YWCA, in the coming weeks. The next viewing session is set for Friday 17th June.
