SITUATION AND LOCALITY:
The property lies situate along Afram Street, Asylum Down, Accra where it is numbered 3. It is found next to Time Square Lodge and is diametrically opposite Ex-Pel Centre Limited. The property, readily identified as the former Asylum Down Police Station. It is found in a mostly middle class residential area, now heavily infiltrated with many commercial concerns such as those mentioned above.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY:
House no 3, consists of a monstrous rambling mostly two (2) storey sandcrete block building partly on stilts with a third storey section. Part of the structure used to house the Asylum Down Police Station. The entire curtillage is walled with a sandcrete blockwall on all sides. With a double leaf tubular metal gate securing the entrance into the premises. The compound is unmade but well drained with an open U shaped gutter down the left hand side of the plot.

DOORS : Mostly a combination of flush plywood and wooden panelled types.
WINDOWS: Generally glass louvre blades in aluminium carriers; the rear of the ground floor mostly has wooden jalousies.
CEILING: Flat reinforced concrete soffits mostly with flat asbestos sheets to
portions accessed by the external staircases.
ROOF : Flat reinforced concrete mostly, with pitched corrugated asbestos sheets on wooden members to the external staircases.
STAIRCASE: Three (3) external concrete staircases give access to the first floor with two internal concrete staircases affording access to the second floor from the first. FIXTURES/FITTINGS: These include bathtub, wcs, showers and the usual electrical fittings. SERVICES AND AMENITIES: Water, electricity and telephone facilities are available on the premises from the public mains.
