Dauda eyes goal king crown next season

Asante Kotoko striker Dauda Mohammed is confident that he will score more goals this season after opening his account against rivals Hearts of Oak in a friendly.

Dauda scored a beautiful goal in the second half to cap of an impressive outing for Kotoko who won 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The striker, who has formed a new strike force partnership with Ivorian Ahmed Toure, says he is confident he can emerge the goal king for the coming season.

“Goals give meaning to the game and as a striker it is our first duty to put the ball into the net,” Dauda told GHANASoccernet.com

“I am at a big club and I know the expectations that come with playing in a big club like this this so I am focused on scoring more goals to help the team.

“I can be the goal king if I continue working hard and stay fit.”
