"GPHA has called for detailed transparent toxicological tests on all GMOs before approval and release to the Ghanaian market."
Our "EXPERTS" have ignored these facts: (1)All countries that ARE NOW REJECTING GMO's have done these "toxicological tests"; THE RESULTS ARE ALARMINGLY UNSAFE.
(2)EU scientists are NOT INFERIOR to GHANA's to warrant us dismissing their ADVERSE findings.
(3)USA's Food and Drug Administration approves these GMO foods after ONLY a 3-MONTH TEST on MICE. COMPARE THAT TO OVER A MILLION YEARS OF OUR FOOD EVOLUTION TO OUR CURRENT QUALITY AND NUTRITION.
(4)INDIA, with a need for food security for her over 1 billion people has put a moratorium on GMO seeds, after 10000's of farmers faced economic ruin, leading to suicides.
(5)EVEN IN USA, Some FARMERS are rethinking their costs with GMO seeds, and GOING BACK to NATURAL SEEDS.
Our institutional officials ARE SUPPOSED TO SAFEGUARD OUR HEALTH, SOVEREIGNTY, AND STANDARD OF LIVING. They should not FOR PITTANCE (BRIBES) cede their duty to FOREIGN ENTITIES, whose charge/duty is to find markets, cheap natural resources, and huge profits for their nations/companies.

GMO foods are unfit for human consumption as much as they are unfit for mice and other lower animals. If they can cause much damage to lab mice in only 90 days, what will happen to those mice afterwards. If allowed Ghanaians are not coming to consume the products for only 90 days but till thy kingdom come. What happens to us health wise in 5, 10 or more years? Cancers, more birth defects etc, etc. It's true we have been consuming GMO foods as in ice creams imported apples an so on which account for a few strange diseases. Is it prudent to increase their prevalence? Our leaders should lead us without fear(GOD inclusive)or favour.GOD bless our home land.
