I think bolga is lacking in development.Its also peaceful as Bay said.It will be nice to build a stadium in bolga too and maybe a local airport to since the international airport will be in tamale.People from Burkina and Mali ... read full comment

True,the northern part of the country needs a psychiatric facility but we need to be able to take care of what is available before building more structures setting the stage for even poorer service.

The psychiatric hospitals in the south are a big eye saw and a disgrace to mental health professionals in Ghana. What the three northern regions need are smaller community mental health recovery centres, will stuffed with psychiatric nurses and psychologist who will educate,teach and sensitize the community on mental health issues. The days of prescribing drugs are virtually over, there are some proves that some of the psychiatric drugs induce suicide. The Northern regions have been without psychiatrist since the creation of the region, and they hhave managed well.An eye saw of pychiatric clinic takes you no further than the psychiatric unit in Tamale Central Hospital, the building is being discriminated against, all surrounding wards have been nicely painted making it homely for the patient, while the unit is as dirty as dirt. This was commissioned sometime in 2003 by Debrah through efforts of BASICNEEDS. l mention this just to give you a picture of what a psychiatric hospital in the North will look like. lets concentrate on talking therapy , this is easily avialable in the north and it is cheap.All they need is training and capacity building.
