After reading your re-presentation CDC's dreadful findings and the admonishments to swimming pool users, I expected you to tell me about the Health Departmen's role:
1. Does the government have bylaws governing the construction and operation of public swimming pools?
2. If bylaws exist, did inspectors closed down the offending swimming pools immediately for the sake of public safety?
3. And have the offending pool operators been fined or charged for violating the bylaws?
4. Do government inspectors regularly inspect public swimming pools? How regularly?
5. If the government has a regular inspection schedule, why were the problems not detected earlier before reaching dangerous levels?
6. Is the communication link between the field inspectors and CDC effective? What is the nature of that communication?

Clearly every pool has stuff in it but hey you're in with your eyes wide open. Wear your swimming goggles, don't swallow the water, enjoy the exercise, and you should be good. If you're concerned have the pool guys show you their treatment plan. Chlorine will take care of the stuff that can kill. Enjoy the exercise people.
THOU SHALL NEVER SWIM IN A PUBLIC SWIMING POOL.
