Axim gov’t hospital cries for help

The Management of the Axim Government Hospital is calling on the Ministry of Health to provide it with logistics and medical staff.

The hospital was unable to attend to the people who were injured in last Friday’s premix fuel accident in Axim.

The hospital is currently attending to nine of the slightly injured victims with just one Medical Doctor at post.

In an interview with Citi News, the administrator at the Axim Hospital, Joseph Ayeni bemoaned the state of the hospital saying, “we are seriously constrained with inadequate staff and the lack of equipments.”

Seven of the severed charred victims were airlifted to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, but four have passed away.**
