Effia-Nkwanta Hospital receives equipment donation

Sekondi, March 7, GNA - The Betty Kings International Ministries based in the United Kingdom on Monday presented hospital equipment to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Rospital.

The Founder of the Ministries, the Rev Betty King, said the items were donations from individuals and companies in the UK. The equipment included blood pressure and blood sugar monitors, defibrillators, nebulizers, surgical dressing and equipment, supplies to th= e Accident and Emergency Ward as well as the Maternity Ward. She said as a citizen of the region, she would continue to strive hard in meeting the needs of the community and its people.

Dr. Richard Anthony, Acting Medical Director who received the equipment= , thanked the Ministries as well as other benevolent institutions that suppor= t the hospital. He said the hospital was faced with infrastructural, topographical and equipment challenges which affected service delivery and called for urgent steps in addressing the situation. Bishop Bernard Ogyiri Asare, Presiding Bishop of the Zion Praise Chape= l International, Takoradi and leader of the UK team called on Ghanaians to pull resources together in meeting the needs of the unprivileged in society= ..
