THOUSANDS SEEK VISAS TO VIRTUAL STATE NEAR CANADA, USA

Tens of thousands of Nigerians are paying $3 to $12 for a visa to the Republic of Lomar. More than 70,000 have been duped by scam artists selling visas to the fictitious state they say is located between Canada and the USA, reports The Comet, a Nigerian newspaper. Thousands of Nigerians every year apply for a visa to the USA, most without success. A World Wide Website, www.republic-of-Lomar.org , says Lomar is a non-territorial micro-nation.
