Thrills Mark Commissioning Of Renovated Tafo Course

P. A. Sersah won the Tafo Golf Club November monthly medal golf held at the weekend at Tafo to commission it's renovated "all green" 9-hole course.

Sersah returned 75 net to beat Joseph Daglo on count back in the 18-hole competition arranged to coincide with the hand over of the facility which has been converted from the previous browns to greens.

Mawuli Ababio of Achimota and Group Captain K. Gyimah-Kwakye took the 3rd -4th positions with net scores of 76 and 78 respectively Dr Felix Frempong of Achimota Golf Club, playing among visitors, won the visitors prize, returning 77 net.

Susie Kyere beat M. Ohemeng on count back for the ladies event top prize. The two were at 88 net after the 18-hole bottle.

Club captain Dr. F. K. Oppong, assisted by Dr. Osei Bonsu on behalf of the Management of the club, thanked Unique Trust Financial Serious, Klogg Construction, initiators of the rehabilitation project and their collaborators, including Mrs Essel Koomson, Mr Mike Aggrey, among others, for their wonderful services to the club.

In a return match play between Tafo and Bok, Nam, Kum Club, host club Tafo retained the trophy, beating the visitors by 1045 points by 1091 points.

Prince Kofi Amoabeng led the Tafo side, which included P. A. Sersah and Joseph Dagbo. Group Captain Gyimah-Kwakye also captained the Air Porce Base side which had Col (rtd) Tony Ashiagbor, Rex Acquah and Cdoe K.K. Pumpuni, among others.

Air Vice Marshall Mantey, patron of the Bok-Nam, Kim club, expressed the deepest appreciation of the club for making them part of the occasion and the hospitality accorded his team by the Director of the institute. He said they were overwhelmed by the voluntary and selfless spirit exhibited by the few for the benefit of all.

Prince Kofi Amoabeng, ECO, Major John Nyeng, General Manager, both of Unique Trust, Mr Kweku Okyere, M.D. Klogg Construction were among the guests at the ceremony.
