Arenson wins Celebrity Club Championship Golf

Ole Arenson returned a net score of 68 to win the inaugural Celebrity Club Championship Golf played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, on Saturday.

He was followed by Madji Joher with 70 net, beating Mark Peveret on count-back after they had both returned the same score.

In the ladies segment, J. Arenson came first with 67 net, Mercy Werner took the second position with 78 net, while Pamela Yeboah placed third with 83 net.

In the Men’s Group “B” encounter, Issa Adam came tops with 69 net, beating Eric Johnson on count-back while Samuel Adjepong took the third position with 76 net.

The Seniors encounter saw P.K. Fiagbe emerging champion with 39 net while Helen Appah placed second with 41 net.

The ‘Bunker’s Shot was won by Joy Arkutu while the “Longest Drive” in the Men’s category went to Anthony Appiah.

The one-day 18-Hole competition attracted about 100 golfers.

Frank Akwasi Opoku, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club said the club had initiated a number of projects which when completed will give the club a new look.
