Celebrity Club Championship Golf on Saturday

The Celebrity Golf Club Inaugural Club Championship tee-off at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono, on Saturday, November 8.

Frank Akwasi Opoku, Captain of the Club who announced this at Tema on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-hole event, which was opened to members in good standing, will be played under the rules of the Royal Ancient Golf Club, the World’s Golf governing body and the local rules of the club.

He said about 100 golfers were expected to participate in the competition which would be played in two categories.

Opoku said Group ‘’A’’ which would comprise the higher handicap and Group ‘B”” the lower handicap will each receive three prizes with the ladies segment also receiving three prizes.

Michael Parker, winner of October medal, Abdul Aziz, Joe Ohemeng, Joe Ampofo and Abed Botchwey are some of the golfers expected to participate.
