Tamale Chief, Let's Have Sex And No Wars

The Chief of Tamale Gulkpegu Naa Alhassan Abdulai has expressed his displeasure about the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection’s silence on the Tamale sex scandal. He wants the Minister to launch full scale investigation into the sex tape scandal and my question is; INVESTIGATE WHAT? THERE IS NOTHING TO INVESTIGATE and I don't want my tax cedis to be wasted on frivolous investigation. What is there to investigate? I will rather there is more sex in Tamale than bows and arrows flying around.None of those people on the tape are children but adults and willing participants who indulged in their salacious interests of a canal knowledge.

Since this tape came out, this chief has been vociferous in his demands that borders on medieval inquisition of the 12th century. He has called for the banishment of those people on the tape from Tamale and has even called for the man on the tape to be killed. When did having sex with a lot of women become a capital crime? This Chief in all probability by custom might have more than ten wives and likely a minor or two among the wives and he and his elders have been sanctimoniously preaching to us about morality.

Whatever the culture mores of the indigenes of Tamale are, the laws of the country reins supreme over their culture ethics and he cannot cane this man by giving him hundred lashes and demand of cows and goats. If he has a taste of goat and cow meat, he should pay for them.

This hypocrisy of Northern girls and women morality is a mirage because sexual revolution and women liberation movements achievements have broken the sexual enslavement of Northern women. If this Chief and others who think like him want to investigate anything, it should be the older men of the North who marry children between the ages of twelve and sixteen who should be investigated and jailed.

When these Northern children were growing up in a culture where a man's worth is measured in how many wives, children and cows he have, is it a surprise when you see your children having sex with numerous women?

The revered Ya Na had forty(40) wives and more than hundred children and this is the Chief who is held in high esteem. These Children are thinking, if the Chief can have forty wives, maybe I am entitled to have sex with at least twenty.

Why should we waste state resources investigating people who engaged in a consensual sex at their homes? All those on the tape seems to show they were aware of being filmed.

The Chief is trying hard to maintain the superficial Northern women morality which has been exposed as a mirage with the sex tape going viral on social networking sites.

It is against these women human rights for the chief have caused some of them to lose their jobs at the hospitals and government agencies in Tamale and called for their banishment from the Tamale metropolis. Where did this Chief want these women to go? They have the right to live happily in Tamale like the Chief and his numerous wives. If he doesn't want these women in Tamale, we don't want them either in Accra, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tema etc. LEAVE THE LADIES ALONE, they did not ask for the tape to be released for public consumption.
