Has Apraku Teamed Up with McHypocrite?

By Kwame Okoampa-Ahoofe, Jr., Ph.D.

The seasonal political scavenger and rooftop sniper of Orangeburg, South Carolina, is at it again. This time, the perpetual sore-loser is accusing the New Patriotic Party's Election 2012 Presidential Candidate of having launched a blistering blitz-krieg against Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, the two-timing dismissed Kufuor Trade and Industry Minister, who curiously managed the 2008 Akufo-Addo Presidential Campaign, by default, simply because Nana Akufo-Addo would wisely not be drawn into Dr. Apraku's street battle with the supporters and sympathizers of the former (See "Arthur K: NPP on the Verge of Implosion" Radioxyzonline.com 12/16/13).

Interestingly, this is not the very first time that the Orangeburg goon-squad leader has launched a gratuitous attack against a prominent Ghanaian public figure and/or a politician, in desperate hopes of gaining traction for his own failed political ambitions. Once, he rudely accused Mr. Kofi Annan, the globally acclaimed former United Nations Secretary-General and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, of being responsible for the indescribably uncouth behavior of some Legon Vandals who had presumed to publicly humiliate the Chancellor of the nation's flagship academy, the University of Ghana, because Mr. Annan had wisely refused to intervene to stop some condign punitive measures exacted against these "vandals" by University authorities.

Now, the Orangeburg goon would have Nana Akufo-Addo heartily congratulate Dr. Apraku, the man widely perceived to have deliberately and mischievously torpedoed the former's first shot at the presidency, for savagely attempting to character-assassinate Ghana's former Justice Minister, so Dr. McHypocrite's strategic bedfellow could readily and joyfully climb over the corpse of Nana Akufo-Addo to reach for the presidency.

And yes, the Orangeburg buzzard appears to have a death wish for the man whose presidential campaign he once served as the communications director. And his death wish is thinly veiled in the devious form of a rhetorical question as follows: "If Nana Akufo-Addo [God forbid?] should die before 2016, would his supporters not vote for the next elected flagbearer?" Well, Dr. Death-Wisher, I have a simple riposte for you; and it is tersely as follows: We shall cross the bridge when we get to it.

Needless to say, it is nothing short of the absolutely scandalous for Dr. Death-Wisher to expect Nana Akufo-Addo to generously supply Dr. Apraku with a more highly powered semi-automatic rifle - perhaps even a drone flight-machine - merely because the sawed-off shotgun with which the former NEPAD operative has been conducting his target-shooting practice against Nana Akufo-Addo appears to be repeatedly and incessantly shooting off-target. Fat chance, Carolina Nig!
