Laissez faire attitude is the style of the government

Ever since the dawn of this government, Ghanaians had lived in a great disappointment and despondency. The country is now in a state of complete anarchy and that the center cannot hold. Things had fallen apart.

Regrettably, leadership in governance has failed Ghanaians. The state resources are under no supervision and that the country’s economic development is disjointed and in coma. Hence the incoherent administration in the public sector cannot pass the test of rationality.

As it is, nobody cares about anything and public offices holders rather use their positions more for private material gains than for national service.

This situation is very alarming in that people seemed to query the government if truly there is leadership in this governance. Certainly yes but the leaders in governance are simply apathetic towards the cries of many Ghanaians.

The system of democracy in Ghana occurs in every four years, packed with promises and from then onward; Ghanaians are sidelined and has no direct, rational means of influencing the behavior of those conducting the affairs of the nation.

More so, where the citizenry becomes fed up and stand to demand for better conditions, they do so indirectly through public demonstrations, strikes and disruptive activities

Remarkably, the executive power in Ghana is confined to implementing and enforcing the laws of the law. Yet the government had been oblivious of the activities of some persons within the government eroding the state resources.

Generally, issues of this nature raise concerns and CAF considers Ghana as a corporation whose shareholders are its citizens. Hence Ghanaians have the right to ask questions on how our resources are used to the benefit of all..

As a result, Citizens Awake Forum (CAF) constantly monitors the activities of the government. Honestly, our resources are being leaked into the hands of some unpatriotic citizens. The revenue losses and the rest, what is the government position on it.

The constitution mandate powers into the hands of the government and more so, watches over the resources entrusted to him by the people of Ghana.

The government supervision is woefully inadequate and thus had created room for people to operate. The government must be mindful of our resources and should not leave supervision into the hands of corrupt individuals in government who are always promoted. That is why Ghanaians voted for him.

Long live Ghana!
