Mrs Mahama, Ghana’s New age First Lady

It is said that behind every successful man there is a woman and so also that if you educate a woman, you have educated a nation. One cannot earn an accolade of excellent leadership without having enjoyed enormous support from the spouse. Indeed one cannot talk of successful nation in isolation of its Leadership. In the same vein we cannot also talk of our President without the Lady behind him.
We ought to be thankful to God for the life of Mrs Mahama as our first lady. Besides her role as first lady in supporting her husband, Mrs Mahama is a selfless woman who is always ready to help people irrespective of their ideological persuasions and cultural background.
Undeniably, her humanitarian charity works especially for the underprivileged children over the years typify her nature as a woman of soft heart. We should all applaud and encourage her for the excellent works she is doing.
I would think that the AL-Haji and its perpetrators have an agenda, which is to cow down our hard working First Lady and kill her compassionate spirit in order to gain access to the President and pursue their selfish oriented objectives. This must be condemned by every well-meaning Ghanaians.
In the times passed first ladies stayed in the background and did very little in the public eye; however the likes of Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and our own Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings etc assumed a different role and changed the dynamism of First Ladyship.
These are women who have gone an extra mile to take the role of the first lady to the next level by educating, inspiring empowering women, giving hope to the seemingly hopeless and host of others.
Mrs Mahama is that type and therefore folks must give her serene atmosphere and peace of mind to work in support of our President.
President Bill Clinton became one of the finest American Presidents because of the contribution of his wife, Hillary Clinton, so let’s give our first lady the support she needs to enable her support her husband in his work.
