We want slim efficient governments because salaries and entitlements of the crowd at the presidency can further build a number of toilets and supply water to remote villages or even many areas in Accra.

The author of this article, Mr. Isaac Kyei Andoh, made some interesting points.
And I quote some of them:
1.".... to oversee the execution of his most important priority projects dubbed, ‘Presidential Priority Projects (PPP)".’
And
'..These projects include the construction of 200 senior high schools, 10 teacher training colleges, 1 university for the Eastern Region, Regional and Specialist Hospitals, Regional Airports and one International Airport..."
Whilst I do not see anything wrong with President Mahamah's ultimate goal to fulfil the promises he made to the Ghanaian electorates during his campaign, what is causing people 'to raise an eye-brow' on the creation of 'The Three Wise Men' portfolio, are the questions;
1.Is this decision 'effective and efficient'?
2. What is the 'cost/benefit analysis'?
3. Is this position not a duplication of functions?
If the objective is to supervise the construction of schools and hospitals,
Is President Mahamah telling Ghanaians that he has no confidence in his Minister of Education and Minister of Health?
Is it not duplication of functions to have two or three Ministers and also 'three wise-men' to achieve the same objective?
If the aim for creating this 'Three Wise-men' position is just to enable the President to win re-election in 2016, as the author is suggesting, then, one can say that until the cost/benefit analysis is made, one can easily say that this decision is parochial in interest and selfish in objective.

If the author of this article and President Mahamah are seeing through the same 'lenses' then, the other alternative solution is that after using the technique of 'cost/benefit analysis 'and the principle of 'effectiveness and efficiency',
1. Abandon the 'Three wise-men' potfolio. and instead
2. Re-assign the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Works & Housing or any other suitable ministry, to each of these 'Three wise-men' with emphasis on overseeing;

Under HE Kufour, we had a Ministry for Presidential Special Initiatives- it was not to build space aircraft, under the same president Kufour we had a full secretariat to oversee construction of Jubilee parks, Presidential lodges, toilets accross major roads, greening Ghana HHHHHUUUUUUUMMMM, how green is Ghana etc. People are afraid thses achievers will once again achieve slimming the possibilities o NPP coming to power 2016.
