Ghanaian Children Are Properties Of The State-NDC

Are our children the 'property' of Ghana? Is it not degrading to refer to children as property? Is Ghana a communist state where the children are viewed as the property of state? What is really wrong with members of NDC that catachresis seems to have affected almost all of them sometimes one wonder if these people have taken leave of their minds. The DCE was reacting to why school children should line up on the side of the sreets to welcome the NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akuffo Addo to their towns. How can a DCE appointed by this government refer to children as property that belongs to the state and that is exactly what this DCE from my own District, Afigya-Kwabre, Oppong Kyekyeku Kaakyire said about children.

"As the chairman of the District’s Education Oversight Committee, DCE Kaakyire stated that he had a duty to protect the interest of the school children whom he described as the properties of the state."

Waow!!!!, when did the children of Ghana become the 'property' of the state? How much does the government of Ghana give to parents to take care of these children to lay claim to them? NDC believe in deadbeat 'fatherlism' because they want to be parents to the children of Ghana without having any responsibility. How can NDC claim fatherhood of our children and deny them free education? I really do believe the NDC honchos if they had their way would have closed every school down in Ghana and sent their children abroad for their education because NDC want an illiterate citizens to rule. We can see the desperation of these NDC Politicians willing to say and do anything to cringe on to power.

The stupidity of this DCE who was miffed because these school children on saturday when they were not in school lined up in the towns Nana Akuffo Addo visited to welcome him and does postulated that the use of school children on the streets as a prop to herald announcement of the arrival of an important personality in an area was the preserve of the President of the Republic. What this man fails to understand is that, this was not an organized event but a spontaneous happiness being expressed by parents and their children because of the free education policy in the NPP manifesto. There are a lot of parents who cannot send their children to secondary school because of school fees and those who struggle to pay their children school fees end up owing a lot of people just to give their children a chance to have a chance in life. What does this DCE want to do? Tell Ghanaians that they have no right to welcome anybody apart from the President at their own free will?

This DCE who is also the NDC Parliamentary candidate for Kwabre West can see his dream of becoming a member of Parliament from this constituency evaporate before his eyes like the misty morning giving way to the noon day sunshine.

This NDC 'COMMU' should know that, our children are not properties and they do not belong to the state but to their parents who struggle everyday doing back breaking jobs to put food on the table whilst the likes of this Oppong Kyekyeku Kaakyire children attend private schools in Kumasi and Accra. Ghana cannot be a deadbeat Dad to our children but line them up during Independence day to march and salute a President who will not provide them with free education, "DAABI DA, EMMA SO."
