I don’t need a soothsayer to confirm that those in opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) will not be happy about this piece of advice I am about to offer their ‘all die be die’ flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo in relation to his travel to the United States (US), but I don’t give a damn since I believe in the truth and will continue to speak my mind.
Folks; it has been in the news that Nana Akufo-Addo will join President Barack Obama in this year’s special religious session as far as the National Prayer Breakfast scheduled to be held in Washington DC is concerned, upon invitation by the United States Senate; and I am worried.
Okyeame is not least bothered that the NPP flagbearer has been invited to join in the said National Prayer Breakfast, not at all. But the fear is the disgrace that awaits Mother Ghana with regards to the invitation.
At this time, I will not say that this will end up like the David Cameron’s practical joke that the NPP and O Level drop-out, Malik Kweku Baako and his New Crusading Guide wanted the people of this country to believe, which ended up ridiculing the UK government, but the issue is, the big mortification that his visit will cause this nation, and that is why I deem it very necessary to caution him.
Just on a so-called listening tour in Ghana, he couldn’t help or even thought it was important to protect his badly soiled-image from further decay, following his craze to become President of this country. Instead, he decided to urinate on a Mosque at the Gonja King’s Palace in demonstration once again that he has no respect for those from the Gonjaland, and people think I should remain silent for him to disgrace Mother Ghana?
Not at all; I will speak my mind and does not give a damn about what the likes of Sammy Awuku, Samuel Abu Jinapor, John Boadu, Ursula Owusu and Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, aka Lawrence Addae will say, since the nation’s interest surpasses Akufo-Addo’s. This is the reason why I am advising him against this disgraceful behaviour so he will not repeat it and at the end disgrace all of us.
Akufo-Addo, according to publications by some of the NPP papers, is expected to leave the country for Washington DC on the 30th of this month, for the ceremony and I think this piece will guide and offer him the opportunity to keep him in check before he finally emplane, so he does not embarrass the entire nation by going to urinate on the walls of wherever the event is scheduled to take place.
Urinating on Members of the US Senate and other invited guests at the event will be a serious crime that President Barack Obama and the US will never forgive Ghana.
Should he defy my orders and go ahead to do what he is noted for (urinating on the walls of a Mosque), then, we should be prepared for the dire consequences. And so this man must be careful not to plunge the nation into any mess.
We will pardon him if he decides to embarrass his party like he did in Damango weeks ago, but to travel to US to repeat the same will be a disaster. So the earlier we call him to order the safer Mother Ghana will be, and continue to stand tall, courtesy the good and exemplary leadership style of His Excellency Professor John Evans Atta Mills.
In fact, we cannot allow this chap to take his misconduct abroad to humiliate all of us, so the earlier we stop him the better it shall be for all of us and that is why, Okyeame is insisting that he shouldn’t go and do his things there, period!!!
