Txt messaging system to Ghana down

Does anybody know what is happening to the SMS text messaging services in Ghana? For more than a year now Ghana's text messaging has stopped working! For God's sake what is the use of having a NCA and PURC Staff, paying these people and with executive compensation, ex-gratia emoluments when these government agencies cannot regulate and enforce performance of our utility companies! It appears politicians simply make appointments and walk away without regard to why such monitoring bodies are set up?

Every business in the modern world today rely on the use of transportation and communication systems. Ghana has sold our communication system to foreigners that we want to compete with in the world, and none of our 50 years of independence could find Ghanaians to manage Ghana Telecom. It is a disgrace!

Now we have foreign communication companies in Ghana and we cannot manage them to provide quality service even when they are making huge mega profits. What is wrong with Ghanaian leaders! It is simply incredible that none of our leaders seem to have a strategic view of the global arena! Incredible!

We can't get adequate speed on our Internet when these companies are charging three times the price for poorer quality!! Somebody ought to take charge of the nation and stand up for better quality delivery of basic needs for people and for businesses if Ghana is serious about our existence. Waiting around for others to praise is is mo way to win in the modern world,
