RE: The Nigeria Bashing Of Ghana Continues

- A Rejoinder From A Nigerian Living In Ghana.

I copy unedited below, a rejoinder i received to the above mentioned article

My big brother,

Please do not mind the lady Nkenna over such misguided & hurtful comments about Ghanaian ladies. She is speaking for herself, she is not speaking for Nigerians and no right thinking inidividual will open his or her mouth & make such public (or even in the private) statement against a whole lot of all the good ladies of the great nationality of Ghana and may I say here that she is misguided and not speaking for us good Nigerians who are great travellers and are very accomodative of people of all nationaities. I am an Ibo man & happen to come from the same area this lady come from. There is a say in our Language; "Nwanne di n'mba" which means: A brother is always found outside or in another nation.

Let me remark here that If Nkenna has anything personal to settle with any Ghanaian lady, let her go personally and do that instead of using a widely watched electronic media like brother to say untrue, unfounded and completely provative words about Ghanaian ladies. She is a woman. Our people also say "Aka eji abo okwa k'eji abo okuko" which means he hand used in dissecting Guinea or bush fowl is the same hand used in dissecting chicken - and I want to remark that a woman is a woman irrespective of where she hails from; The filthy aspersions she is casting on a Ghanaian woman should be see as throwing it on all womanhood of which is among. So she is throwing it on herself as well. So this Nkenna of lady who is using her mouth ungardedly is insulting herself as well. If she has not been evicted from big brother please let this be one principal reason why she should be shown the back door.

Let me say here that the organisers of big brother Africa are doing a great showcasing of African and promoting our image through this media by sponsoring that program which is drawing continental interest in Africa. But may I remark here that failure on their part to edit comments such as Nkenna has made will instead of fostering African unity & good cooperation will rather fan the embers of international acrimony among fellow Africans.

I am a Nigerian, I live in Ghana and I have make bold to say here that Nkenna comments about Ghanaian ladies is unfounded & rather unfortunate based on my personal experiance. Since I came here, no Ghana lady has throw herself at me or has seen me and solicited any unwholesome relationship with me as she is making people to believe by her comments. The ones that by virtue of my businees exposure I have come in contact with are serious minded, polished & cultured people who go about the duties politely and carry themselves with respect and dignity. I have stayed in hotels here, no Ghanaian man or woman has ever accosted me suggested whether Ia need "company" or that sort of thing. Which you know that it is a statement suggestive of organising a woman to pass the night with you. So from where does all this cheapness of the Ghanaian lady come from? Well just like I said, she is misguided. Another thing our people say is; "Ife onye acho ka o'fuu" - which means what you are looking for is what you see. If a good Ghanaian lady who packaged herself well has through her good manners stollen the heart of Nkenna's husband "or male friend if she is not married"

Please know that you are not good & that is why the good Ghanaian lady took him from you and stop casting aspersions on the national icons of a great country like Ghana which many of us Africans are looking up to.

Please my brother Musah you wrote bitterly on this taking it to mean an international war between our counties. I dont take it to be as so and I want you to disabuse your mind from so. I hope this rejoinder will help calm frayed nerves over this issue knowing that we did not send a miss or mrs Nkenna to big brother Africa to go & insult Ghanaian ladies. Please Ghanaians should also know that this weak character called Nkenna should she be a Ghana because of the qualty of her personality could also misuse her mouth on a fellow lady lady from her country or also cause you people this national embarrasment I think it is all a matter her person here instead of seeing it as wound inflicted on Ghana by Nigeria

I could not present this to Ghanaweb because I do not have the requirements to do that but thank God you left your email address where i could reach with. If you could publish this rejoinder I will be very grateful.

Thanks, Ibe
