Jerry Rawlings, Ndc Will Collapse And Turn Into Cpp If You Bring Down Mills – Final Part

It has been reported by the “Daily Graphic” of Wednesday April 4th 2012 – page 17 that the 10 Regional Ministers have initiated moves to reconcile President J.E.A. Mills and former President Rawlings in order to consolidate the peace and stability of the country.

They are seeking to mobilize a number of chiefs and even queen mothers throughout the country to lead a team of mediators to help mend the frosty relations between President Mills and former President Rawlings. It is a fact that, former President Rawlings will not be contesting Mills in the 2012 polls, but his utterances and the boom speeches and constant condemnation of the Mills government pose a gargantuan threat to Mills’ electoral victory in 2012, Yes, I must say it and say it loud and clear in my capacity as a cadre who sacrificed extremely under Rawlings’ PNDC era to date and was lucky not to have died like thousands of patriotic cadres from 1982 – 1992 up to 2000 when Rawlings left office leaving the remaining surviving cadres including this writer empty handed.

The premise on which the initiative was mooted by the Honourable Regional Ministers was not only Right but it was the BEST initiative which MUST BE SUPPORTED by all those who want the great NDC to retain power in 2012. Former President Rawlings must know that the NPP has set a TRAP for him since Ex-president Kuffour’s administration and he could NOT be trapped because Progressive Forces were solidly behind him, but his damning condemnation of President Mills in an election year is so alarming that most Ghanaians except NPP members does not know what he is up to? STOP PRESS: The NDC Founder has not hidden his LACK OF CONFIDENCE in the capability of the NDC government under the leadership of President Mills to get a second term during the December polls this year – 2012.

He stated publicly that NDC lost the 2012 elections just a few months after it assumed office in Jan 2009 – How, and Why? He again cautioned that even if President Mills wins the party’s flag bearer primaries in Sunyani on July 9th – 2011, there was no way he would win the general elections in December 2012 because he was presiding over a government whose members were corrupt and “greedy bastards”. It is far better for Rawlings to rather name those corrupt appointees in the Mills government as well as those “greedy bastards” than to campaign against Mills to ensure his defeat in December 7th 2012. I have thrown a very BOLD CHALLENGE TO RAWLINGS.

Are all the Mills appointees corrupt and “greedy bastards” since some of them worked under you from the PNDC and NDC government? If the Rawlingses had been under severe pressure from concerned members of the NDC who were calling for the formation of a New Party – in the 2012 elections, those concerned NDC members must be told plainly that it is NOT THAT EASY TO FORM ANY NEWPARTY to win a general Election in just 7 months in all the 230 constituencies plus the ten (10) regional offices of the NDC before the 2012 elections.

According to Mr. Kofi Adams, these calls have been coming from the Volta Region Northen Region, Brong-Ahafo and parts of the Ashanti Regions. They say, as the NDC stands now, there is NOTHING happening, so former President Rawlings should find a vehicle that would turn things around and RESTORE HOPE TO THE PEOPLE. Oh! I see. Did the Rawlings hear the same calls from the cadres who are dotted across the country? Answer, No – if the answer is No, then how committed are all those calling on the Rawlingses to form new party and restore hope to the people? The ONLY VEHICLE that can turn things around and restore hope is nothing but UNITY – I mean a united front between President Mills and the Rawlings and then Real Hope will be restored to enable the NDC win in a landslide and we retire Nana Akuffo Addo from active politics – period.

THE NPP TRAP FOR RAWLINGS

(1) Jerry Rawlings must be reminded that the recommendation of Ex – prez. Kuffour’s Nail Rawlings commission (NRC) are still waiting for Nana Akuffo Addo to come and implement to the letter against him because he (Rawlings) is still the common Enemy of the NPP.

(2) The “criminal charges” preferred against his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings are still pending and not struck out by the court, and will be re-opened for fresh trial when Akuffo Addo becomes President.

(3) Prez. Mills controls only the Legislature (parliament) and the Executive but NPP gurus dominate the Judiciary since 2001 to date.

(4) What Ex-Prez. Kuffuor could not do in 8 years, Nana Akuffo Addo will do it in just 3 months in the unlikely event that he becomes the President of Ghana because he believes in vengeance and these examples attest to that.

(5) Nana Akuffo Addo told students at the University of Ghana, Legon in 2002 during the NPP administration that the NPP will look for skeletons in the cup boards of former NDC ministers under Rawlings – and that, if there were no skeletons at all, the NPP will put some there

(6) When he won the parliamentary elections in his Abuakwa South constituency as a Member of Parliament, in 2004 he led NPP members to burn down the NDC constituency office with impunity at Kyebi.

In the 208 general elections – NDC members were all chased into the bush in his constituency and the ordered that no landlord in Kyebi should rent his house to NDC members to be used as their party office. Jerry Rawlings, is such a man with supporting to become the president of Ghana? You are far better off in the “worst” government of Prez. Mills 100 times than the so – called vibrant NPP Party and govt of Nana Akuffo Addo, so if Mills is our Mother who refuse to give us food, do you think our mother’s rival – Nana Akuffo Addo will rather give us more food? No if we are suffering 10 times under Mills today, we will suffer 60 times under Nana Akuffo Addo if he ever becomes Ghana’s President in 2013, Cadres advised you in 1996, you flatly refused because of dictatorship, and you are now reaping the very fruit of dictatorship which you sowed in 1996.

In 2012, Cadres are again advising you – will you again use “Patapaa” to treat our rich advice with contempt for the second time? You will rather be bringing yourself down in 2012 if your utterances which carries weight causes the downfall of Mills in 2012. You must therefore, think about the millions of NDC supporters nationwide and stop the CRUSADE you intend to lead against corruption in the Mills govt. is that clear? The great NDC which you are the Founder is Bigger than you and Prez. Mills. Nana Akuffo Addo will become President over our dead bodies- please exercise restraint for the sake of the NDC party and unite with Mills when the traditional rulers visit your residence.

The 1992 constitution gives the state the mandate to cater for Ex-Presidents and their wives until they die. They enjoy free electricity, water, health care etc. thousands of cadres who sacrificed extremely for 10 years 1982 – 1992 without rewards and continued further until 2000 when Rawlings left office.

The constitution did not cover the cadres. Today 2012, some of the cadres are now 59 years and 62 years old, and Jerry Rawlings will be 65 years in June 2012. Should the remaining surviving cadres remain paupers until they die?

The down fall of Mills is the down fall of Rawlings because he made Mills who he is today. Ex-President J.A. Kuffour is now your BEST FRIEND, try and ask him the reason why he said that he would be happy to become a Messenger in a ruling party than to be a General Secretary in an opposition party – he said this just two years after leaving office in Jan, 2009.
