Naadu Mills: Stop Critizing My Husband

. (WELL SAID, BUT DO WE NEED TO WASTE 40 MILLION GHANA CEDIS ON KWAME NKRUMAH’S CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS?)

The First Lady, Ernestina Naadu Mills, says it hurts to see her husband, the President being criticized unjustifiably by the opposition party as well as within his party, the NDC. ‘‘Its hurts to see the president being criticized especially when whatever he does, is given the wrong interpretation. You see, sitting in the armchair is not the same as being the pilot and holding the steering wheel. It’s not the same. If you have been a president before, perhaps conditions were different during your time.

So let’s give this new President the chance to put into effect the ideas he has for this country, he wants the best for Ghana and we all should contribute to it, she said passionately.

According to her, Professor Mills has good intentions for Ghana and all his critics must know that the economic atmosphere has changed over time hence the need to devise a different approach in tackling the emerging challenges.

The First Lady also spoke passionately about government’s inability to meet the total educational needs of the country due to some challenges. She was particularly worried that some villages in the country were still without schools and promised her commitment to change the situation.

“NAADU! It’s all well and good, you have said it all but do we need to SPEND 40 Million Ghana Cedis on Nkrumah’s centenary celebrations, while some villages in the country were still without schools”?
