NDC attempts at using Kofi Amankwa of ‘New York’ to malign Akufo Addo will backfire.

It is with much disgust that once more I have to take on this faceless neophyte who is afraid to reveal his true identity, for he knows that even though we are in a free democratic society, if he does reveal his true identity, the masses, like the Roman mob, will tear him to pieces for his reckless insinuation about the man of the people and moment, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

I repeat, and I will shout it to the highest heavens that this riff raft who calls himself Nana Kofi Amankwaa is nothing but a reckless anarchist and a reactionary of the highest order.

Since when did the hawk give birth to a chicken? And since when did the grasshopper attend a meeting of animal? This shameless Nana Kofi Amankwaa cannot claim to be a member of the U.P Tradition. No, never! His antecedents, rhetoric, actions and everything he stands for are complete anathema to the ideals of our great and noble tradition. He us a mole masquerading as a staunch supporter of Alan Kyerematen in the latter’s bid to become the party’s flag-bearer. The earlier Alan called him to order, the better it would be for him and our Great Party.

If he is a genuine sympathizer of our Noble Tradition, I challenge him today to come out in the open and reveal his true identity. He should tell us where he lives and branch he has registered as a member. That is, if the said Nana Kofi Amankwaa is really a human being with genuine blood running through his veins with two balls dangling between his two legs. Is he a true son of his father? I doubt it. If he fails to take up this open challenge, I will regard him as a dead wood, an imbecile and a scallywag.
He, the mole has not hidden his deep seated hatred for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. After a critical analysis, I have come to the conclusion that this non-entity, like many corrupt Ghanaians has a morbid fear of Nana’s presidency simply because Nana is incorruptible and most of the evil things Ghanaians do and get away with will not be tolerated under him. Hence, the zeal to malign him at every opportune time! But such shameless political disasters should realize that they will never succeed in their attempts.
Now, let me take this Kofi Amankwaa up on the illogical and quixotic allegations he levelled against Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He alleges Kufuor handed over 37.2 million dollars to Akufo- Addo for the 2008 electioneering campaign, Now, let this dead wood answer these posers. Was Akufo Addo the treasurer of the NPP? In which denominations was the money given? Were they changed into Cedis before being handed over to Akufo Addo? And how were they given? In bags, cartons, trunks, boxes or Ghana Must Go Bags? Where did the transaction take place? Or does he want to tell us that, like Kwame Pianim who told us he was present on two occasions when President Mills rejected bribe offers, he too was present when the alleged transaction between Nana Akufo Addo and Kufuor took place? Is he the spoke-person for the ex-President? Answers to these questions will reveal the true agenda behind such senseless attacks on the person of Nana Akufo Addo.
No genuine sympathizer of a political party will make such damaging allegation against his worst enemy in the party. And so by coming up with such damning allegations, is he not bringing the character and credibility of ex-President Kufuor into disrepute? How could a President dip his hands into the national treasury to dole out such an amount to single person to prosecute an election? Converted into Cedis can he tell us the “opepepeepee”that was given to Nana Akufo Addo?
I am not disputing the fact that Kufuor did give some money towards the prosecution of the 2008 election. He did just as we the ‘mmoborowas’ also contributed our quota in our own little ways. But the quantum of the figure Kofi Amankwaa is quoting is what makes him the greatest liar that ever lived on this earth.
Now let us come to the adjectives which this shameless individual uses to describe Nana. He says at one point that Nana is a womanizer and in the same vein describes him as a misogynist. The Longman Dictionary of English Language and culture describes a womanizer as a person who habitually pays attention to many women for sexual purpose. The same dictionary defines a misogynist as a person who hates women. How could a person who hates women feel attracted to them? This shows how confused and contorted his brain was working when in an attempt to exhibit his morbid fear and hatred for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, this Kofi Amankwaa of “New York” condescended into the gutter and used words which are not related at all to describe Nana Addo Dankwa. Nana Kofi Amankwaa of “New York” you have eaten faggots which have corrupted your personality as a human being. You are dead wood! Dead wood! I repeat. No need to pay attention to you.
Who is this girl this maggot infested individual alleges is Nana’s girlfriend attending University of Ghana? What is her name? For discerning readers to believe what this so called Kofi Amankwaa is saying, he must give us the name of the girl. If he cannot supply her name, then his allegation holds no water and must be thrown into the waste basket.
This rabid dog who calls himself Nana Kofi Amankwaa of “New York” asks rhetorically where Nana Akufo Addo got the money to run again less than one year after he lost the 2008 Presidential Election to Atta Mills . I think the question was directed at the wrong person. It ought to have been directed equally to Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen whom Kofi Amankwaa claims to be rooting for as well as Frimpong Boateng. These two also contested the 2007 Presidential Primaries of the NPP and spent quite a lot of money.
He alleges Akufo Addo Campaign team is desperate. No, the team is not. The team does not regard this contest as a do and die affair. But one thing is certain. The team has done its best and believes that even though all the five candidates are equally good, Nana stands tall amongst them because “goldfish has no hiding place” and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is the goldfish.
Nowhere has any member of the campaign team told anybody that Alan Kyerematen would be made Nana’s running mate if the latter gets the nod as the party’s flag bearer. Nobody and I repeat nobody from the campaign team has ever made that assertion! The question as to the choice of a running mate would be decided by the eventual winner after consultations with top members of the party at the appropriate time. We are convinced beyond all reasonable doubts Nana would emerge the eventual winner. We shall cross the bridge when we get there. Nana Kofi Amankwaa of “New York” will do Ghanaians a lot of good if he comes up with facts to buttress his senseless arguments.
Who are the people this dead wood refers to as criminals? Infact, no genuine sympathizer of a noble tradition would refer to any aspirants for the flag-bearership as a criminal. We have our own individual preferences but when the chips are down, we should come to the conclusion that we are all members of the same tradition. But if we should talk of the real criminals in our party, the name, Kofi Amankwaa should be on top of the list because he is a mole masquerading as an ardent supporter of Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and that treacherous act is criminal in nature.
I cannot end this write-up without asking Kofi Amankwaa of “New York” if indeed, he knows the person called Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. Has he had a personal encounter with him in his (Kofi Amankwaa) short miserable life on this planet before? If he has not, on what basis did he arrive at the conclusion that Nana is proud, arrogant and violent?
Hear what Rashid Puepple had to say about Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo during the newspaper review section of the Good Morning Show on Wednesday 23rd June, 2010. The other panelist with him was Dan Botwe “Nana is good, I have to confess that. In parliament, he used to call me “my young friend”. I keep saying he should have been President at the time Kufuor was President”.
Alhaji Bature speaking on Accra City FM last month had this to say “Nana Akufo-Addo is a good candidate and stands a better chance of ruling this country. I think Akufo Addo will win, there are no two ways about that…………. I think that he can become a better material for Ghana…. Akufo-Addo if he becomes the President of Ghana, I think he can deliver but the timing is unfortunately not on his side because I don’t see the NPP winning 2012. I don’t doubt Akufo-Addo’s competence at all. I think he is capable, he will be able to manage this country and he will become a good President but unfortunately time is not on his side”.
I have provided facts to debunk some of his spurious allegations against Nana Akufo-Addo. I have provided names of personalities who have vouched for his competence and in some cases dates and venues. These facts can be verified. But what Kofi Amankwaa of “New York” just did was to spend his miserable time gallivanting about the so-called “sins” of a man he cannot look straight in the eye and repeat such senseless statements he is spewing forth on the web.
Nana Kofi Amankwaa of “New York”, the mole masquerading as an ardent supporter of Alan’s presidential bid should realize that it is the way a child opens his hand that a piece of meat is given to him. He should not also overlook the fact that “if we don’t eat the yam for the sake of the palm oil, we eat the palm oil for the sake of the yam”. It must also be noted that “an upstart those umbilical cord is not yet cut must not clamor for meat before he grows teeth”. A word to the wise is enough.
As members of the Great Osono Tradition, the success of the party is the success of all members of the party. We should not forget this ancient adage which says: “Each bubble in a cooking pot of soup fights so hard for supremacy that none listens to the cry of the pot itself; so when the pot burns, all the bubbles perish”.
Readers should please pardon me for the late reaction to Kofi Amankwaa rantings and ravings about nothing. Initially, I decided not to take him on but with the coming of the NPP Primaries this week I felt there was to the need to set the record straight. Hence, this belated reaction. But let me tell unrepentant NDC ‘sadists’ like Kobby Acheampong and Hanna Bissiw who are afraid of Nana Akufo Addo’s emergence as the NPP’s Flag-bearer and subsequent election by the good people of Ghana as President and so are hiding and using pseudonyms like Nana Kofi Amankwaa of ‘New York” to malign Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo that we are also equal to the task of returning the venom they hurl their arsenals on Nana Akufo-Addo with double the force with which they are sent. Kobby Acheampong said they will have a formidable opponent in Alan Kyerematen, but with Nana Akufo-Addo, it will be ‘cold chop’ because they will use the same script they used in 2008. We have not asked Kobby to tell us which of our candidates is good for the party. He should cry his own cry and think about what would happen to their party when the NDC opens nominations for the election or “selection” of its presidential candidate. Let Kobby Acheampong continue to live in the dreamland or is it fools paradise and think that they can take Ghanaians for fools. 2012 will not be like any ordinary year. There will be political kamikaze and I mean it. Hari-kari, Tsunami and Hurricane will resonate all over the constituencies and the “arrogant bastards” who have no regards for human beings and speak as if they had been ordained to rule for ever will have the greatest shock of their lives. They will be cast down from their high abode on Mount Olympus. You just mark my words.
