Is Dr Yaw Sarfo really the legitimate Kumawuhene?

My attention has been drawn to a publication on the various Ghana internet news portals that Dr Yaw Sarfo (Barima Sarfo Tweneboa Kodua) by court verdicts is now the certified Kumawu Omanhene. He has himself been going to TV stations claiming to be the only, and one, Kumawuhene.

This assertion by him, his supporters and accomplices is just the figment of their warped imagination. They are just tickling themselves and laughing hahahahaha!

How can Dr Yaw Sarfo, the alleged “obo3fa dadeEfa” by his own uncle, having also been imposed on Kumawuman by collaborators under clearly unconventional circumstances anathema to well established and known Kumawu traditions and custom be the legitimate Kumawuhene?

I am well aware of his underhand dealings with some judges through the Ceremonial Head of Asanteman, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, to get some corrupt, unprofessional and disgraceful judges to pronounce judgments that make them a bunch of laughing stock in the eyes of their contemporary intelligent White judges.

I am again aware of how Otumfuo Osei Tutu II constantly runs to President John Mahama pleading with him to assist him have his way in the Kumawu stool dispute or else, he will be disgraced beyond redemption. Is it how Otumfuo can prove his bragging of being bigger than any law in Ghana and that no court is vested with powers to reverse his decisions regardless of how preposterous they may be? Running, kowtowing to, and prostrating to President Mahama, his seeming accomplice, to save him from disgrace by prevailing upon some unprofessional judges to twist the law, no, I had better say, judgments, in his favour? Upon all his loud mouth, look how he has been reduced to a misfit by the boldness of some Kumawuman citizens and the published research works on his status in Asanteman by Rockson Adofo, the no-nonsense son of Kumawuman.

I gave Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II a few months respite to analyse my revelations and then to understand his position in Asanteman vis-à-vis the affairs of Kumawuman. However, as obstinate, insatiably greedy and can hardly shed his old crook’s image, he has decided to become like “Osuo abrobo3, otim nea otim”. He is stubbornly entrenched in his ill-mannered ways; harvesting from where he has not sown and feeding on lies.

Dr Yaw Sarfo is never the legitimate Kumawuhene. The day that he will be compelled to provide the forms he filled out that led to him being dubiously gazetted as Kumawuhene, it is then that people will see his real standing in Kumawu. Is it not said, “It is on the day of the death of the toad (frog) that we see its actual length?”

Dr Yaw Sarfo is not Kumawuhene in anyway. I am more informed to have this complete puppet as my paramount chief. I know Kumawu history. I have conducted research on Asanteman and the position of Asantehene in Asanteman before the dissolution (in 1896) and restoration (in 1935) of the Asante Confederacy. I know how no Asantehene has any right to meddle in the affairs of Kumawu let alone, her chieftaincy affairs. I know of the three requests made by, and were subsequently granted to, Kumawuhene Barima Tweneboa Kodua I, before self-sacrificing himself to save Asanteman from their war with the Denkyiras of Ntim Gyekari.

From the above, my answer to a teaser comment made by someone asking, “Now that the courts have made Dr Yaw Sarfo Kumawuhene, what will Rockson Adofo do?” is simply this, no court has made him Kumawuhene. With the available credible evidence and facts, no judge worth their salt can make Dr Yaw Sarfo Kumawuhene. He is not and he shall never be.
