Columnist: The Informer

Has Chief of Staff become more powerful than his Boss?

We have always known that the Chief of Staff, Prosper Douglas Bani, sees himself as a co-President, hence his disregard for Vice-President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur.

Precisely because he sees himself as a co-President, Prosper Bani is more interested in dressing the same way the President does.

Also, because Prosper Bani, considers himself to be co-President, he prefers to follow his boss (President) around, rather than pinning his butt to his office and clearing the heap of files that have taken over the office.

Apparently, apart from his personal friendship with the President, Prosper draws extra power from Lordina Mahama, the first lady.

So, it is this double source of power, that has gotten into the head of Prosper Bani, and making him begin to believe that he is more powerful than the President.

Last week, The Herald Newspaper, screamed with a story as regards the inferno the Chief of Staff has started at CEPS, via some senseless appointments/promotions.

Checks by The Informer, have revealed that Prosper Bani, actually did what he did on the blind side of the President.

The President is reported to have been very livid at the embarrassment caused him by what the Chief of Staff has acted, as if he is the one who was sworn-in as President of the Republic of Ghana.

Apparently, the countless attempts by the likes of Dr. Raymond Atuguba to stop the Chief of Staff from continuously creating problems for the President/Presidency, is what made Prosper Bani turn his guns on Raymond, which forced him out of the Flagstaff House.

It is now a matter of public knowledge that Raymond and Ben Dotse Malor, left the Presidency because of the President’s inability to make the Chief of Staff know his “smoothness level”.

As we prepare this piece, The Informer knows is for a fact that Dr. Valarie Sawyer, is also on a French Leave, because of Prosper Bani.

Instead of accepting the fact that he does not have what it takes to occupy such a high office, and allow capable hands to help him, Proper has rather targeted those persons to chase out office.

Prosper Bani, has become paranoid and fighting senseless turf wars, rather than expend his energy for the President to succeed.

Indeed, Prosper Bani has become so powerful that he reportedly told the President last week Thursday that he (Prosper) CANNOT be sacked nor forced to resign.

Last week Thursday, there was a heated exchange of words between President John Dramani Mahama and Co-President, Prosper Douglas Kwaku Bani, and that was when it became crystal clear to the President that Bani has become worse than Lucifer.

Well, if President Mahama wants to mortgage his Presidency to inexperienced Prosper Bani that is his own “Wahala!”

As for The Informer; we have toiled too much and too long to see the NDC win back power from the evil and destructive marauding elephants and we SHALL NEVER sit down and allow “aliens” like Prosper Bani to run the NDC into opposition and political oblivion.

Prosper Bani MUST GO; he MUST GO now!!!!!!!
