Dear Pastor President Prophet Mahama of Ghana

,
would you want to fly in an airplane designed by an engineer with no advanced scientific degree, who in fact did not believe in science, and instead consulted the Bible or the pope for advice on how to build airplanes? Probably not. The scientific method is the single best tool humans have ever developed for understanding the underlying workings of our world. Now, I am hoping you don't honestly believe managing the State, Justice and the Common Good should follow a different principle. Please don't tell me you didn't know modern governance is increasingly becoming 'knowledge-intensive'. Please, don't!
You're welcome to privately pray for your family every morning but what Ghana, as a nation, urgently needs is political coupled with economic expediency and not a person who's going to turn Ghana into one gigantic prayer camp as if we were Israelis heading towards the promise land. Ironically, even there, the pragmatic God of Moses appointed a man of action, Joshua, to take in charge of affairs. We didn't vote for you to pray for us; we can do that ourselves in our private homes. Regrettably, you're making it very easy for critics to be convinced Christians are unreasonable beings. After all, we individually have our personal men of God who already take away millions of cedis away from us for praying duties. If we needed a prayer warrior devoid of the principles and knowledge of modern social and political philosophy in the executive office, we would have unanimously inaugurated Rev. Dr. Opambour Ebenezer Adarkwah Yiadom, aka. Prophet One, as the president of the Republic.
Thank you, Your Excellency.
With Kind Regards,
