Commentary - Anthony Karbo’s Coarse Attitude Needs Check

In the house of desperation, elders always set the young ones, as wild as dogs to town, to bidding, elders themselves find extremely difficult to do.
This is exactly what is happening in the desperate home of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The party is so desperate that, the young ones have been aware of what the elders need badly in their lives, and could, therefore, work to make sure that the party wins elections in December “At All Costs” (By the kind courtesy of Mr. Williams Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo).
Disrespect, lies, fabrication and open display of arrogance, just like the leader of the party, are what the young ones are pursuing.
Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, an Apostle of “All-Die-Be-Die” and “Mr. Afghanistan”, took his party’s desperation to Tema-based Adom FM last Monday, to embark on what the NPP could do best.
Karbo, who by all standards knows how to put his arguments across, alerted listeners of how the NPP wants to pursue the “At All Costs’’ agenda with lies and fabrications.
His take was that President John Mahama could not answer certain questions relating to judgment debts, when asked on recent British Broadcasting (BBC) interview.
When the brakes were pulled on Karbo, he got offended and insisted to be allowed to continue with his oafish (Not Gabby Otchere-Darko) attitude, forcing the programme to an end, because he (Karbo) would not allow anybody to talk.
Indeed, President Mahama had answered the question posed to him by the BBC as revealed later when a tape was played.
But be as it may, Karbo, the very person who led a group of young NPP activists to storm a sister station of Adom FM, Asempa FM trying to do damage to a former presenter, is gradually becoming a nuisance to his party.
However, because the party-elders and other National Executives are desperate, they are simply refusing to notice the youngster’s continuous political blunder.
The handsome young man, maybe, should begin to think twice if he wants to pursue politics in his entire life.
He should learn from his boss’ (Akufo-Addo’s) defeat in 2008, which would be repeated in December this year, and start to make amends with the way and manner he does things.

Mr. Karbo, as a young man, has more years to do politics and could easily be a fantastic face in the NPP in years to come; but his current uncouth posturing could destroy his future.
The NPP, as a party, should also be bold enough to check its young ones before pointing accusing fingers to others to checking their youth activists.
Being hungry and desperate for power, lies, insults and blatant fabrications are different things altogether; and that should inform the NPP to start thinking straight.
Many young and floating voters are monitoring the political terrain; and attitude of Karbo and others could definitely put some of them off.
The desperation of the NPP, is virtually pushing some of its young members off track; and that would cost the party in December, The Informer can state unequivocally.
