Joselyn Dumas, Manifest, Kalybos, Mahama, others win social media awards

Social media has lately been the biggest platform where individuals and organizations express their sentiments, update information and reach out to more people in and outside Ghana.

Most celebrities, public officials and organizations have taken keen interest in using social media and personal blogs actively earning them awards at the 2015 Ghana Blogging and Social Media Awards held on April 25, 2015 at the Coconut Grove Regency Hotel in Accra.

The award ceremony, which is in its third year, seeks to recognize businesses and individuals who have distinguished themselves in the blogging and social media space of Ghana.

Actress Joselyn Dumas won the Best Instagram award while rapper Manifest won the individual with Best Twitter account as well as Artiste with the Best Social Media presence. Kalybos won the Artiste with Best Youtube award.

President John Mahama beat Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, Hanna Tetteh and others to win Public Official with Best Social Media presence.

Vodafone Ghana was adjudged Organization with Best Social Media presence and Best Twitter, Nana Awere Damoah won the Best Facebook Profile, Cussons Baby GH also won the organization with the Best Facebook Page and Ghanahealthnest.com won the Best Blog.

Other winners at the awards ceremony include Yesiyesighana.com as Best New Blog, Ameyaw Debrah as Best Blogger, Cape360gh.com as Best Organisational Blog, Joy Fm as media house with the Best Social Media and An African City as organization with Best Youtube.
