Tigo’s Music Unplugged Concert attracts hundreds and the stars

There were electrifying performances from the stars billed to perform at Tigo’s Music Unplugged Concert and fans hailed their icons as the music feast lasted into the wee hours of Saturday morning.

The free concert attracted hundreds of music lovers who thronged the Accra Sports stadium to witness performances from music merchants such as Sarkodie, 4×4, Guru, MzVee, Shatta Wale and Nigerian hot cake, Davido. DJ Black set things going with assorted tunes which were warmly received by the eager fans just as YFM’s Nokus did well as the MC on the night.

New cats Rashid Metal, Rudeboi Ranking and Oheema as well as Akoo Nana were given the opportunity to sell their craft. The interesting twist however was that Akoo Nana came on stage with 3 bare chested ladies dressed as ‘dipo’ gals with the beads and ‘ntama’ to match, the fans loved the free show and cheered but organisers were not too amused.

Hiplife trio, 4×4 showed their maturity when they served fans hit tunes such as Fresh One, Waist and Power and Baby Dance. Guru did his thing as did MzVee who performed ‘Borko Borko’, Revolution and Natural Girl.

Fans could not have enough of Davido as the pair performed ‘Aye’, ‘Skelewu’ and ‘Gobe’. At 12:56am Sarkodie mounted the stage and treated patrons to hit songs including Original, Shots on shots, Illuminati, Dangerous and Adonai. In the course of his performance, Pappy Kojo and Joey B made an entry performing their hit song ‘Realer No’. The ‘Ah’ man ended his performance at 2:01am. The concert ended with a performance from Shatta Wale around 3:00am.

Congrats Tigo Communications Network for a job well done.
