You may have seen her on your television screens and admired her for her enchanting beauty but TV presenter and model Deborah Vanessa claims that despite the loads of admiration that come her way, she remains single.
“Even though a lot of men see me and admire me for my beauty, I am still single and do not have any man in my life” she told Showbiz.
The multi faceted lady who is also a model and musician gained popularity after taking part in Miss Malaika Ghana 2004 where she took the position of the first runner up.
She admitted that her tight schedules may have contributed to her single status since she is always on the run to accomplish something for herself.
“I don’t have time for myself at all because I need to make money to survive. This game is known as the survival of the fittest so you need to be strong in the entertainment industry to keep you going” she stated.
Known for her single hit track, “Uncle Obama” which earned her an interview on CNN after its release last year, the lady who graces the screen with her artistry, eloquence and bubbling sense of humour disclosed that she is skeptical about her decision to pursue a career in music in future.
“I still don’t know for sure, but I would know depending on the success of my second single. It has not yet been recorded, I hope to have it ready in time for Valentine’s Day” she said.
She disclosed that even though a section of the public criticized her after the release of her first single, the numerous messages from fans and loved ones encouraged her to move on remarking that “A day doesn’t go by without someone telling me how much they love it. I’m usually told in person or via the Internet. “Uncle Obama” created a huge global impact that is undeniable. Also, I get offered banana from males all over, no matter their age or whether I know them or not”.
Sister Deborah noted that she has not yet planned to have any “collabo” with her brother, Wanlov, the half duo of FOKN BOIS because they are both working on their separate projects for now however she had featured in a couple of songs by the latter including “Spr Mi Dat” which is yet to receive airplay.
The Bachelor’s degree holder in Publishing Studies from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology said this year is going to be quite busy for her since she has a lot of projects up her sleeves.
