The criticisms will only make me better - Kaakie

Female dancehall sensation, Kaakie, is not worried about criticism she receives about her public outlook and the apparent condemnation she gets about her posture on stage.

The confident looking singer has revealed to Dzifa Smith, now DzifAffanie, that she is aware some entertainment critics don’t like her outlook.

“It is normal. I believe that what makes a person is criticisms and mistakes; you fall down, you get up, you rise and you walk.” she said.

Speaking on The Late Nite Celebrity Show on last week, she stated that though she has always dressed to please her audience, people have found it dissatisfying because as “as a star, people expect to see you in a particular way, especially when you are in that kind of genre; dancehall, like myself. So people are expecting some kind of thing from me when it comes to dressing.”

The “too much” singer who revealed that “I come from a broken home” said growing up was interesting despite the difficulty she had to endure from primary one as a child with a divorced couple.

“I come from a broken home. My dad and my mum divorced when I was in class one; I think I was seven years so I have mummy on one side and daddy on the other side”

“It was interesting but I had it in mind that I wanted to get somewhere and I had to get there.”
