Kumasi DJs Angry At Ghana DJ Awards Organizers, Threaten To Sue

Ever since the nominee list of Ghana DJs awards was released, so many people have expressed their opinions about it. As to whether is good or not, that depends on the said individual, but to some Kumasi based DJs, they think the organizers of this awards have not been fair to them since most of the nominees are from Accra and few from Kumasi and other regions.

Some of the Djs, the media spoke to were very angry because some DJs who should have been nominated were not and even DJs like DJ Slim who has been in Kumasi for not more than two months was nominated. Their concern is not him being nominated but tagging him as a Kumasi DJ. They think he should have been named as a Sunyani Dj instead. Another concern they raised was most of the heavy Djs on Kumasi radio stations like Luv fm, Hello fm and the likes were left out.

One of the nominees who is massively angry at the organizers is DJ Shaq known in real life as Nana Yaw Agyemang of BOOS fm. He was so furious that after the media interviewed him, he used facebook as his medium of expressing his anger and this is what he wrote on facebook

‘Am really angry with the unprofessional ghana djs awards organizers for using my name in their so call kiddy Djs awards or what? No wonder Mr Kaxtro Dj Black,Big Shark,Dj Nii Aryee ,Lovin Cee, Billy Ocean, Magic Sam and the rest of the djs in gh are pissed off with the whole ish.i want my name out b4 Thursday or they will hear from my lawyers ahh we don’t even have an association and u want to use our hard earn name to make money, u can do it 4 the small boys and not big guys like us. More over seek intelligent and professional advice so you don’t create confusion and kill the game. Watch out for the press release next week.’**
