Breakthrough For Sanctioned Actor Kofi Adjorlorlo

Though life looked gloomy for actors like Yvonne Nelson, Kofi Adjorlolo and Ecow- Smith Asante, it looks as if the reality of their ban is not as strong and strict as people thought.

Initially, we were made to understand that the ban restricts them from working with any production house and also from releases in a production house in Ghana as well.

Yvonne who was the first to be banned is serving close to the one year term she was given but she is still working as a normal actress with no load on her neck. Even though I might not be able to count all the movies she has featured in which has been released so far, the Pool Party happens to be her latest work on the market. Our quest to get to terms with how the Film Producers of Ghana (FIPAG) is managing the ban brought out these revelations.

FIPAG made it clear that being banned by the association does not restrict the banned actor or actress from shooting but the association will prohibit the producer from releasing the movie onto the market. A situation we are yet to experience is one in this our time.

Ace actor Kofi Adjorlolo was one person who really cried foul upon the hearing of the ban issues since he responded every call in connection to the news unlike pretty young actress Yvonne Nelson. Kofi Adjorlolo also enjoyed a bigger public sympathy on the basis that his aged mum was sick in bed waiting for treatment in the hospital. He also cried foul on the basis that he quit radio broadcasting for acting and now FIPAG wants him to go hungry after many years of survival in the acting business.

Just this Monday, a movie titled “No Apologies” from the camp of Jalexberg movie productions was released unto the market which stars acting giants like Prince David Osei, Yvonne Okoro, Ben Brako, Pauline Oduro and father of movies Kofi Adjorlolo.

Because Kofi Adjorlolo is considered to be still under the ban, Flex newspaper asked the executive producer of the movie if he has received any threats from the office of FIPAG over the inclusion of Kofi Adjorlolo in his latest movie. Mr. Alex Dan Benneh responded that the movie is out already in the market but he did not receive any caution or whatsoever from the film producers association. “The movie has gone through all the necessary processes in the association and it has qualified to be released. Adjorlolo is in the movie and he played exceptionally well alongside stalwarts like Ben Brako, Yvonne Okoro, Pauline Oduro and Prince David Osei.

No Apologies is a story about two siblings Yvonne Okoro and Prince David Osei who fell in love with each other and out of their numerous sexual escapes got pregnant in the process. Whether the parents of these love birds who are siblings at the same time will agree in their love affair can be seen in the movie No Apologies which has Kofi Adjorlolo who was banned some months back starring in it.
