Legendary highlife musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu known in the industry as Daddy Lumba says he has not been called to be a man of God.

According to him, he has been going to church and singing his highlife song.

Daddy Lumba and Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong have collaborated in a gospel song “Hossana”.

The song “Hossana” which will be launched on Saturday, 27th November 2016, is one of the singles from Lumba and Ampong’s collaborated album.

Speaking on UTV morning show, Adekye Nsroma, Daddy Lumba said the fact that he is singing gospel does not mean he has stopped singing the highlife.

According to him, looking at what God has done for him, “I will sing gospel for a long time…but that does not mean I have stopped singing highlife…I can’t be like Pastor Alewa. A lot of people love me and majority of them happen to be Northerners”.

So Who is Pastor Alewa?

Three years ago, award-winning popular hip-life musician Ofori Amponsah told Ghanaians he had abandoned his secular hip-life music, to become a Christian pastor with a mission to win souls for Jesus Christ.

However, three years after his 'divine calling', Ofori Amponsah surprised many by releasing a fresh secular hip-life single, ‘Alewa’, in which he featured award-winning hip-life artiste Sarkodie. This brought about the name 'Pastor Alewa'.
