Dumelo hits 5m Facebook followers

Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has hit over five million likes on Facebook.

As of Friday 26 May, 2017, Mr Dumelo had 5,009,401 people liking his page. In addition, he had 4,989,597 following his page.

The award-winning actor's Facebook page is mostly filled with links to news stories and sometimes words of encouragement which attract thousands of reactions and comments.

The actor posted a thank you message on his Facebook page after hitting the five million milestone.

“Made it to 5million followers on Facebook!!! Thanks So much guys..... #Grateful #loyalfans #youthebest #youthareourfuture#moreblessings #entrepreneur #melomoment #agriculture,” he posted.

Mr Dumelo has been making headlines in recent times for joining the campaign of former President John Dramani Mahama during the 2016 polls. He was also in the news just over a month ago after a missing state vehicle was found in his possession, coming on the heels of his party’s electoral defeat and exit from power.

His recent mockery on social media of a graduate hawking bread and his subsequent apology, following the massive backlash he suffered from the public, got him a lot of media attention.
