AIDS PATIENT MARRIES

...After divine healing

Thirty-six year-old Ghanaian nanny, Mrs Antionette Afotey was diagnosed HIV positive in November, 1998. However, subsequent tests she conducted have proved negative after receiving divine healing from the renowned Nigerian preacherman, Prophet T.B. Joshua, leader and founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, in Lagos, Nigeria.

And the man who introduced Antionette to the Church in her moment of anguish and hopelessness, Mr Ben Afotey, a driver with the German Embassy in Lagos, has finally married her after it has been medically certified that Antionette no longer has the virus. Both medical reports on pre and post HIV tests conducted at the Federal Ministry of Health have been made available to The Mirror.

This feat recorded in Lagos was disclosed to The Mirror in an interview in Accra by Antionette after giving testimony at the local branch of the church at Agblogbloshie in Accra.

According to Antionette, she went to Lagos, Nigeria, in 1995 to seek greener pastures and luckily for her she got a job as a nanny with a diplomat.

Antionette claimed that in early 1998 she had been experiencing some unusual headaches, constant malaria, diarrhoea, general bodily pains and could not even lift a bucket of water.

Antionette said no sooner was she declared positive than the news about her illness spread around the vicinity she worked at, in Victoria Island. She lost her job and was despised by friends.

She said she lied to her present husband, Ben, that she had cancer and needed help so he promised to send her to his church, the Synagogue Church of All Nations for divine healing . According to her it was on the way to the church that she had a change of mind and told him it wasn’t cancer but HIV.

Antionette said he was not deterred and took her to the church. “On reaching the church I was scheduled to meet the Man of God, and moments after I confessed my sins he stretched his hands over me and said ‘I will heal you for your salvation’ and instructed me to go and sin no more so that the miracle will be
