Greetings Akyeame and Good Evening

2230hrs

Amanfuor teh results keep trouping in...and some of the emerging trends are

Ashiaman likely to go to NDC, as almost all Volta.. in Ayawaso West Wuogon, it will still be a tough fight for NPP & NDC as the votes are like technicolors.. Ashanti seems to be going for NPP...

Gomoa East seems to be eluding Ama "Chavez" Benyiwa-Doe as she is affectionately called in the media for Hackman of NPP. Cape Coast likely to go to Christine Churcher but not without sweating.. she is leading but it looks like a pseudo skirt&blouse voting nearly came up there.

Asa Bee Asamoah-Boateng seems to be having the upper hand on Jojo Bruce Quansah in Mfantsiman West. Tamale North and South both seem to like NDC. Alhaji Malik Yakubu is lilkely to take Yendi given the results that have come so far. Lizzy Ohene also seems to be having trouble in her place Ho West I think it is and she is contesting against Francis Agbotse the incumbent NDC MP.

Akwapim mountain constituencies seem to be going to NPP too.. same as Sekondi and Takoradi too. Tema West seems to be going NPP.. but it seems close paaa there.

but right now, we are all waiting for full collated results of the Constituencies to come in because in many places more than an 2/3 of teh prescints have reported ( at least via the radio and volunteer correspondents) we now await the official declarations.

ONCE AGAIN, THIS IS AN ELECTION YOU WILL FIND IT NOT WORTHY OF RIGGING.. THE OBSERVERS, THE VOTERS ARE USING ALL TOOLS TO TELL THINGS AS IS.. PEOPLE TOOK PHOTOS, VIDEOS ETC and were right on the spot to tell the world about issues and flash points.. I even saw someone take a photo using his camera phone and sending it to a radio station. I have seen that photo on a website somewhere .. Hmmm

My goodness, this will be an exciting night.. I am trying to find an excuse to stay at home tomorrow so I can hear and see more results.....my problem is that I only have a pair of ears and we have 16 radio stations in Accra alone... and 4 TV stations all on the elections... Hmm

by the way, I went to the International Press Center to look for Owura Martin Kantara Kamara.. the man has put his phone out of coverage area.. that makes it 2 bottles of beer plus tilapia that he has to procure as Mpatagyi.

Oh MGod, Ama Benyiwa Doe is on Joy FM radio right now.. she is admitting that she has lost her seat...and conceeding that the margin was huge and she is blaming Apam and Mumford - Hackman;s hometown for the defeat.. she is a graceful loser and is saying that she will pick up and decide what she will do and being satisfied with her personal life she will get on well..

yes back to the Press Centre.. the place has been set up with a live band. a small 10ft screen on which results will be screened.. a TV station or two has rigged up a small stage for interviews etc.. and there are places... I did not go in but I suspect that there is Internet facility and telephone for correspondents because a number of foreign correspondents have been interviewed from there.

once again....this night will be buei.. but generally town is very quiet.. I think no one gave any idiot the chance to misbehave or go violent and Ghana has won...this is the day Ghana led the continent. Kudos to all Ghanaians.. the thumb has worked
