Huudu Yahaya will re-brand NDC - Dr Zakaria

Dr Mawil Zakaria, Campaign Director of Alhaji Huudu Yahaya, an Aspiring National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said that the election of Huudu Yayaha would facilitate the rebranding of the party to become more attractive.

He said when elected, the first former General Secretary of NDC would have ample time to respond to social needs of the party supporters towards victory in 2016.

Dr Zakaria made this known to the press after Alhaji Huudu Yahaya had addressed NDC delegates from five constituencies of the party at Agona Swedru.

The constituencies are Gomoa West, Agona West, Agona East, Gomoa Central, and Awutu Senya East.

Dr Zakaria said the former General Secretary has the qualities to move the party from better to best and also help address financial challenges currently facing the supporters.

The Campaign Director said the election of Alhaji Yahaya would “add fresh mind to the executives to battle the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2016 elections.

Dr Zakaria said the Campaign Team and Alhaji Yahaya are not underrating the current national executives who won the 2008 and 20012 elections.

He said new minds are needed to further build a formidable party.

He said when given the nod, Alhaji Yahaya would strengthen the grassroots structures to help the party to win massively to continue the better Ghana Agenda.

Dr Zakaria urged the NDC supporters to unite and work as a team after the national congress to help push the party forward.

He said Alhaji Yahaya is a visionary leader and has the capability to lead the NDC when elected as the national Chairman of the party,

Dr Zakaria said Alhaji Yahaya, being the Chairman of the Conflict Resolution of the NDC, has a track records that would help him to manage the party effectively.
