I’m winning national organiser position – Kofi Adams

Not too long ago,(MustaphaInusah.Com) broke the news that, Hon Kofi Adams, who is the Special Aide to the Rawlings’ as well as the Deputy General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress NDC, was eyeing the National Organizer of the NDC position.

Already, 10 different volunteer groups for Hon Kofi Adams have shown up in the name of campaigning and making sure that Kofi Adams wins the National Organizer position.

Seeking clarifications from Hon Kofi Adams to find out if he has heard of the various groups ready to lend support for his campaign and whether he is affiliated to those groups in any way, he stated that right from when the rumours broke up in the social media, he has been having several calls and different pressure groups calling on him to stand for the National Organizer slot.

He said that though he hasn’t launched his official campaign, yet he doesn’t see what will deny him from contesting that position just after looking through the grass root, the demands for him and his capabilities to make the comrades dreams come through.

He said “I don’t see what will deny me the opportunity of winning the National Organizer position. Victory will be mine after the national delegates’ congress.” He recounted that organization is the key things he has been involved in right from his secondary school days to university as the TEIN Organizing Secretary - University of Ghana, The branch Chairman of Adisadel Village in Cape Coast, and later became the Constituency Secretary for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa.

He ascended to the high office of the Central Regional Youth Organizer of the party. He rendered his service again as the Deputy National Youth Organizer. He became Deputy General Secretary and the spokesperson for former President of the Republic of Ghana - Jerry John Rawlings. With all the above achievements, Mr. Adams has no doubt that he can deliver.

“In 2008 when we had to campaign, President Rawlings requested I join his team and to lead in planning and the execution of his campaign which went perfectly well” he hinted. Talking about the incumbent Hon Yaw Boating Gyan, he said that he’s not trying to say Hon Yaw has not done well when he was given the mandate as the National Organizer, but rather, there’s time for everything, there’s a man for a moment and there’s a man for a time and he believes Hon Yaw has executed his time.

“Considering the situation the party finds itself in today and the kind of organization which need to go into reinvigorating the party, you need another strategy, you need someone who understand the grass root, someone who understands issues of governance and understands party organization and I personally think I stand tall” Mr. Adams said confidently.

Mr. Adams continued that “I am somebody who understands that people can have a distress; in other words, you can disagree with me, but I will never allow that distress to grow into division. You can disagree with me, because we are humans. We all don’t have to think the same but, most of the time, leaders allow such disagreement on positions to cause division in the party and that’s one major thing I want to kill.”

Speaking about some of the important areas he will be concentrating on when he becomes the National Organizer, he said that the organizer should be able to touch base and should go beyond, interacting with not just the regional officers but going down to the constituency and branches to reach out to the cronies of this country.

‘I want to dedicate my full time after congress to reach out to the cronies of this country and once again, invite all the party members to bring unity. Today, government is doing well to train many professionals; there need to be a correct link between those getting the opportunity to be trained so they don’t go waste after the training. I have designed a mass program and have a lot to offer which would be made know anytime soon.”
