Only NPP has good policies for Ghana - Nana Akufo- Addo

Odumase-Krobo(ER), April 24, GNA - Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Presidential Candidate of New Patriotic Party (NPP) has observed that it was only the NPP that had good policies and programmes for the country. He said the Party was asking Ghanaians to give it another term because its achievements for the past seven years, policies and programmes indicated that NPP Government assumed power to serve the people and not themselves.

Nana Akufo-Addo made the observation when addressing a rally at Odumase Krobo as part of his campaign tour of constituencies that the NPP did not win Parliamentary seats in 2004. He explained that the decision to begin his campaign tour of the Eastern Region from Krobo area was that it was time Krobos changed their voting pattern for the NPP. Nana Akufo-Addo said since 2001 when NPP assumed power many positive developments had occurred in the country and Krobo area. He said there was still much to be done to transform Ghana into a country with first class public service and the most efficient public schools to enable her lead the way in Africa's development.

Nana Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that when given the opportunity to rule Ghana, he would ensure fairness for the people of Ghana. Professor Mike Ocquaye, Former Minister for Communication said NPP Government had restructured GNPC and ensured it concentrated on its core business and currently oil had been discovered to help transform Ghana's economy. He called on the people in Krobo area to vote for Nana Akufo-Addo who played a central role in the major achievements of NPP Government either in facilitating for foreign loans or leading in the advocacy for the implementation of development projects such as the Bui Dam.

Earlier Nana Akufo-Addo and his entourage called on the Konor of Manya Krobo Traditional Area and addressed rallies at Asesewa and Somanya. Nene Sasraku IV, Acting President of Manya Krobo Traditional Council appealed to Nana Akufo-Addo to ensure that his campaign message was devoid of insults that could create problems. He advised him to concentrate on the message that could touch the hearts of Ghanaians to decide on voting for him during the polling day.
