New CPP national executives sworn into office

The newly elected national executives of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) have been sworn into office at a ceremony in Accra, on Wednesday.

The newly elected National Chairman Professor Edmund N. Delle, commended delegates of the party for the confidence reposed in the new national executives, assuring that they would not fail.

He said the new executives would be honest, faithful and disciplined in their quest to lead the CPP to victory in the 2016 general elections.

He said, with regards to funding, the newly elected executives would work hand in hand to ensure that they get funding for all activities of the party across the country.

He warned that the newly elected executives would however not entertain any traitor, adding that, the CPP is independent and would not form any merger with any of the political parties who do not ascribe to the philosophy of Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

Prof Delle urged all Ghanaians to support the CPP, as it is the only party that truly believes in the promotion of economic salvation for all.

Ms Samia Yaba Nkrumah, the immediate past Chairperson of the CPP commended the new executives for the victory.

She urged the new executives to continue pursuing programmes, which were started by the old administration, namely the electronic database and management system to serve as a credible register for the party and the party’s ideological education programme.

“We must continue the legal action to claim CPP properties confiscated after the 1966 illegal overthrow of Nkrumah’s CPP government and we must also pursue the party’s legal action against the release and commercialization of genetically modified foods into our agricultural system, “she said.

She announced that plans are far advanced to acquire a three-storey edifice to serve as the party’s permanent headquarters in addition to the 80 offices across two thirds of districts in the country.

She urged Ghanaians to come and join and support the CPP for victory in election 2016 to complete the decolonization agenda started by Dr Kwame Nkrumah.

“Osagyefo promised political independence and delivered, today the CPP is promising all Ghanaians economic independence and we would deliver through active state participation in the productive sectors of the economy,” she said.

Other executives members are: Nii Armah Akomfrah, General Secretary; First Vice Chairperson Hajia Hamdata Haruna; Second Vice, Mrs Susana Adu Amannkwaa and third Vice Alhaji Tijani Rahman.

The rest are Mr Emmanuel Ogbajor, National Organizer; Mr Ernesto Yeboah, National Youth Organizer; Ms Isha Sule Fota, Women Organiser; and Mr Gordon Ethro, National Treasurer.
