NDC back with ‘Setting the Records Straight’

Ghana Ghana

Ghana’s Transport Minister, Fifi Kwetey, has served notice the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold the first in the series of “Setting the Records Straight” on Thursday, September 22, 2016.

The programme was scheduled to be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, but was moved to Thursday to make way for the launch of the party’s 2016 Manifesto last Saturday.

Speaking about the event, Mr. Kwetey said the forum will among other things, establish the superiority of the policies and leadership of the Mahama- led NDC vis a vis the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“We [NDC] will talk about what our government has done so far in all sectors of the economy. The New Patriotic Party [NPP] has peddled a lot of untruths which need to be corrected and that it is exactly what we will do this Thursday.

“I have no iota of doubt that when we are through, Ghanaians will be better informed on who to vote for,” the Transport Minister asserted.

Besides the press conferences the Forum aforementioned Setting the Records Straight will also be addressing the general public in a number of town hall meetings.

Setting the Records Straight

Every election year, the NDC organizes a series of press conferences to address pertinent issues ahead of the general elections.

The very first for this year, which will be held at the party’s headquarters will have in attendance Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Kofi Buah, Ato Forson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Kwadwo Twum Boafo, Sam George and Fifi Kwetey.

The programme will be aired live on some selected media houses in Ghana.
