Brigadier Nunoo Mensah (rtd), has in an interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm said, he knows some of the causes of the defeat of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but will wait till the Kwesi Botchwey led committee comes out with their report.

He explained, the campaign of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) tagged the NDC and its leadership as corrupt but the party failed to respond appropriately.

‘’I am not a politician but I’m learned. The campaign by the NPP was premised on unemployment and corruption and when someone accuses you of being a thief and you keep mute, the mud will stick and people will believe whoever is accusing you. I wouldn’t say I know all the causes of NDCs defeat. There is a committee working so let’s wait and see the report of the committee.’’

Brigadier Nunoo Mensah said the development of Ghana is what he wants to see irrespective of the party in power.

‘’My goal is to see Ghana develop. I don’t really care the party in power- as long as the country is moving forward, I don’t have any problem. I am telling you point blank. I don’t have any strong political affiliation, I only want Ghana to move forward so we can develop and curb unemployment. Unemployment is a menace in this country and when someone comes into power and have practical solutions, I will help that person.’’

He stressed that the development of Ghana should be our focus and I do not really care the party in power provided they can resolve the challenges confronting the nations for Ghanaians to be happy.''
