Ambrose Entsiwah best parliamentary candidate for Effutu NDC

Mr J. N. Ayeetey, a member of National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Constitution Committee, says Mr Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr. is the best Parliamentary Candidate for the Effutu Constituency.

Mr Ayeetey who is also the first Registrar for University of Education, Winneba made the suggestion at Mr Entsiwah’s meeting with elders and opinion leaders in Effutu where he officially introduced himself as one of the aspirants for NDC parliamentary primary, scheduled for Saturday, November 21.

He said Mr Entsiwah is a law student, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Law Degree, a holder of Master of Arts Degree in Public Affairs, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and History, Diploma in International Politics and History from the National School of Youth in Havana, Cuba, Diploma in Journalism and Public Relations, among others.

He said Mr Entsiwah has been a card bearing member of the NDC since 1992, a member of the party communication team in the constituency from 2002 to 2012, had served the Effutu assembly as a government appointee and chaired the finance and administration sub -committee from 2009-2015.

According to him the aspirant is a researcher who has done a study on “ Citizens participation in restoring constitutional Democracy: a case study of Ghana’s fourth Republic “,for the award of a master of arts degree in public affairs and also a study on “Voting Behavior and Ghana’s democratic consolidation: A case study of Effutu constituency and presented to the political science department of the University of Ghana, Legon where he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.

Mr Ayeetey described him as very effective communicator and an avowed orator in the art of public speech making, a “home boy”, popular among the rank and file of the youth of the NDC in Effutuman and also well-liked to a cross section of the people.

“His humility and respect for all is undoubted and a source of inspiration to many young people in the Effutu constituency and has never been cited for any corruption or criminal activity with regard puts him in a positive light before the electorate,” he added.

He asked all card bearing members of Effutu NDC to come out in their numbers on Saturday to give their mandate to Ambrose Entsiwah Jnr. whose credibility is unprecedented to lead the constituency party to victory.

In an interview with journalists Mr Entsiwah said, for the first time since 1992, the Effutu NDC is presenting him as a fresh face and a fresh personality for the party on the political landscape.

He said if he is given the nod, his top most priority is to make the Aboakyere and the Masquerade festivals unique to attract more investors, tourists and developers to come and boost the socio-economic development of the area.

He said he would also use his resources to collaborate with stakeholders in the education of children to ensure that all school going age children are enrolled in order to acquire the requisite knowledge and skills to become future manpower development in the society.

Mr Lawrence Paa Nii Lamptey, Effutu NDC Chairman, Mr Amusah Bello, Member of the Council of elders of the party, Mr Kofi Minta, First Central Regional NDC Party Chairman were some of the personalities who addressed the gathering.

They advised the members of the party to comport themselves before, during and after the primary for the sake of the victory of the party in 2016.
