Akufo Addo Calls Prez Mahama A Thief

Desperate 2016 flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo is accusing President John Dramani Mahama of lining his pockets with proceeds from the country’s resources.

Though not mentioning the President by name, Nana Akufo Addo in an indirect diatribe accused Mr John Mahama of stealing tax payer’s money.

“I am not seeking the high office of this land because I want to steal your money and line my pockets with the nation’s resources,” the NPP flagbearer boldly stated during a campaign in the Ablekuma Central constituency last Friday.

As if the four day tour was organized purposely to malign the President and his family, Nana Akufo Addo’s Policy Advisor, Mr. Boakye Agyarko who was also on the campaign trail was rather blunt and forthright, confirming what was really on the mind of his boss.

“All the money the Mahama government has received has just gone down the drain, and into their pockets, with no accountability whatsoever”, Agyarko audaciously told the ecstatic crowd.

According to Nana Akufo Addo’s former campaign manager, “President Kufuor showed you a glimpse of what good governance should be like and the progress a country will derive from it. Nana Akufo-Addo, when you give him the opportunity, will do something never seen in Ghana’s history, so your businesses can grow,” Mr. Boakye Agyarko stated.

The NPP Flagbearer in his interaction with the Sarkin Zongo, Chief Issah Wanzam and residents of Gaskia Zongo, as part of his four day tour of the Greater Accra region extended his innuendos on the President and his family when he told his host and residents
“I am not coming into office for the well-being of my wife and my family. No! I am coming to do a job for Ghana and for Ghanaians. Have confidence in me, and vote for me this year, because I will not disappoint you.”

Nana Akufo-Addo sarcastically advised residents not to hesitate in voting for President Mahama in the November polls if they are satisfied with their current living conditions.

“…But if you take a look around you, and you are unhappy with your circumstances and you want change, you should vote for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. What is needed in Ghana now is a President who will work to bring jobs to the teeming masses of unemployed youth, some of whom are resident here. This is what Nana Akufo-Addo is going to do when you elect him as President,” he stated.

At Abossey Okai, in the Ablekuma Central constituency, Nana Akufo-Addo assured spare parts dealers, as well as Ghanaian entrepreneurs and small business owners, that his government will provide a conducive and enabling business environment needed for their businesses to flourish.

On his part, Boakye Agyarko told the shop owners that no government in Ghana’s history had had more resources, from loans and taxes, than the current Mahama government, adding that Ghana should not find itself in the precarious situation it is in now.

He explained to the spare parts dealers that they were faced with 18 different taxes at the ports but a “Nana Akufo-Addo-led government will rationalize and simplify the tax system”.

“I can also assure you that the situation whereby your items are kept at the ports for weeks, without you being unable to clear them, will be a thing of the past. When your items arrive at the port, you should be able to clear them instantly and without any fuss.

"They will not be kept intentionally at the port so as to attract more duty and demurrage for government. These policies, I can assure you, have already been penciled down and will be implemented once Nana Akufo-Addo wins power,” he expressed.
